This policy explains what data DGWaynes LLC ("we", "us") handles when you use the Go Live: Storm Chase Streaming ("Go Live") app for iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows, and this website. If you have a question that isn't answered here, email dgwaynesllc@gmail.com.

The short version

Your Go Live account is a Google or Apple sign-in: we keep your name, email and an account ID so your subscription works on all your devices. No password, nothing else.
Your sign-ins to YouTube, Facebook and Twitch stay on your phone or PC and are never sent to us.
Your video sometimes passes through our relay on its way to the platforms. The relay never records it and forgets everything when your stream ends.
No ads, no tracking, no analytics. We never sell or share your data.

1. Your Go Live account

To use the subscription you sign in to Go Live with your Google account or, on an iPhone, your Apple ID. This lets one subscription work on all your phones and PCs. We receive and keep:

Your name and email address as Google or Apple share them. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email", we get a private relay address instead.
An account ID that links your account to your subscription.

We never see or store a password. The account is kept by Google's Firebase Authentication service on our behalf. We use it only to recognise you and your subscription, never for marketing, and we never sell or share it. You can delete the account at any time in the app (see Deleting your data). Signing in to Go Live is separate from connecting YouTube, Facebook or Twitch: those connections stay on your device as described below. On Windows, the app keeps your account ID, name and email on your PC, protected by Windows, so it knows who you are next time; it keeps no Google or Firebase token.

2. What stays on your device

Go Live keeps the following on your device only. None of it is sent to us.

Sign-in tokens for YouTube, Facebook and Twitch, in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore, or Windows data protection, which only your Windows account can unlock). They are sent only to the platform they belong to.
Account details the platforms return so you can choose where to go live: your name, channel name, and the Facebook Pages you manage.
Stream keys you enter for Instagram, Kick or other services.
Your settings: stream titles, picture quality, graphics, logo and camera choices.
Recordings, if you switch on "Save a recording", saved to your photo library or the app's own folder on a phone, or to the Go Live folder in your Videos folder on a PC.

3. Camera and microphone

Go Live uses the camera and microphone only to show you a preview and to stream to the destinations you choose when you press Go Live. Audio and video go to those platforms, either directly or through our relay (next section), and to a recording on your device if you asked for one. Nothing is sent anywhere before you press Go Live.

4. The Go Live relay

When you stream from a phone to two or more destinations at once, the app may send one copy of your stream to our relay server (relay.dgwaynes.com), which forwards it to each destination. This uses less of your phone's upload, and lets the relay keep your destinations connected through a brief loss of signal. On Windows, every stream goes through the relay, even to one destination, so the app can reconnect or change picture quality without the platforms seeing the stream end. If the relay can't be reached, the app streams directly instead.

What it receives: your live video and audio, and the ingest address and stream key of each destination so it can forward to them.
What it keeps: nothing beyond the broadcast. Video is passed through and never recorded. Stream keys are held in memory only, never written to disk and never logged. When your stream ends, or a few minutes after your device stops sending, the relay discards the session and everything in it.
Server logs record times, connection states and the connecting IP address for troubleshooting and abuse prevention. They never contain stream keys, tokens or video.
The connection between your device and the relay is encrypted (RTMPS).

5. Location

Location is used only if you turn on on-screen graphics that show your nearest town, speed or weather alerts. On a phone the location comes from the phone; on a PC, from Windows' location service or a GPS receiver plugged into the PC. Your coordinates are sent to the US National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) to look up alerts and the nearest place name. Coordinates are not stored or logged by the app, and are never sent to us. Your location appears in your stream only in the form the graphics show (for example, a town name).

6. YouTube and Google

Go Live uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube in Go Live, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

With your permission (the youtube.force-ssl scope), Go Live:

reads your channel's name, to show which channel is connected;
creates live broadcasts and live streams on your channel, sets their title and privacy, binds them together, starts and ends them, and deletes a broadcast that failed to start;
reads your broadcasts' status and concurrent viewer counts while you are live.

This information is used only inside the app, on your device, to run your broadcast. It is not stored on any server of ours and is not shared with anyone. Go Live's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: it is never used for advertising, never sold, never used to train AI models, and never read by people. You can disconnect YouTube in the app at any time, which deletes the token from your device, and you can revoke Go Live's access on Google's side at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

7. Facebook

With your permission, Go Live reads your name and the Pages you manage, creates live videos on your profile or a chosen Page, sets their title and audience, and ends them. While you are live it reads each video's status, viewer count and comments, so it can show them to you in the app. Comments and viewer counts are shown on your device only and are not stored. You can revoke access in Facebook under Settings & privacy › Settings › Apps and websites; see Data deletion instructions.

8. Twitch and stream keys

With your permission, Go Live reads your Twitch stream key and sets your stream's title, then reads your stream's status and viewer count while you are live. The stream key is kept on your device and sent only to Twitch, or to our relay to forward to Twitch. For services you connect with a stream key (Instagram, Kick and others), the key you enter is used the same way.

9. Purchases

On a phone, the Go Live subscription is sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play. On Windows, it is sold by DGWaynes LLC through a checkout page in your browser, run by RevenueCat with payment processed by Stripe. In every case the store or Stripe handles payment; we never receive your card details. Stripe receives what you enter at checkout (card details, email and billing country or address) under its own privacy policy. RevenueCat, the service that tracks subscriptions for us, receives the purchase record (what was bought, when, and whether it is active) linked to your Go Live account ID, so your subscription works on every device you sign in on.

10. Diagnostics

Go Live keeps a short technical log on your device to help with problems. It has no stream keys, tokens or coordinates in it. It is sent to us only if you choose to copy it ("Copy details") and send it yourself, for example by email.

Nobody, beyond what is described above: your stream and its details go to the platforms you choose, and coordinates to the National Weather Service if you turn on location graphics. Two service providers handle data on our behalf and for no other purpose: Google Firebase (your Go Live account) and RevenueCat (your subscription status), plus Stripe, which processes payments for subscriptions bought on Windows. We don't sell data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools. We will disclose information only if required by law, and the relay holds nothing after a stream ends that could be disclosed.

12. Deleting your data

Press Disconnect next to a platform in the app to delete its token from your device, or uninstall the app to remove everything it stored. Recordings you saved stay in your photo library or Videos folder until you delete them. To delete your Go Live account, open the app's menu, choose Account and subscription, then Delete account: your account is removed immediately, and the purchase records RevenueCat holds for it are deleted on request (email us). Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in your App Store or Google Play settings or, for one bought on Windows, with Manage or cancel subscription on the same page. 13. Children

Go Live is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly handle data from children.

14. Changes and contact
